Packaging is a crucial aspect of brand implementation. When consumers interact with a brand, it is often the packaging that delivers the tactile experience and personal interaction that consumers associate with the brand. All of the work put into the mark, the look, and style of a company is either made or broken with the packaging. Sure Strike Golf was a company that I created for the purposes of establishing a brand and packaging scheme that effectively reaches those interested in a premium golf product. The mark is based upon a split hexagon, creating an S. This hexagon is taken from the shape of the dimple on the golf ball. The hexagon is repeated throughout the packaging, reinforcing the mark. The geometric design scheme for this company communicates a modern, youthful brand. The black, white, and red color system speaks to a more upscale, sophisticated golfer. The clear, plastic molded top of the golf ball box allows the consumer to easily see the product. This clear packaging element is carried into the boxes for the markers and tees, placing the product at the forefront. The hexagonal packaging is different than anything currently on the market, creating visual interest for the consumer. It also quickly differentiates Sure Strike from its competition.
