Really Good Pets Shop – Branding and Collateral

Following the success of the implementation of the DogSheetz branding, the creator of that product hired Sedulous Design to rebrand his existing dog supply site, Really Good Pets Shop. This brand began as an extension of an existing dog training company, Really Good Pets. The existing brand took elements of the parent brand and reused them for the logo of the online shop. The owner wanted to differentiate the site from the dog training service. He also wanted to create a mark that would be iconic in the online pet supply industry. He wanted something that was fun, playful, and would appeal to his identified target market of young professional dog owners, largely women or gay men.

With this mark, I created a smiling dog mouth featuring a heart shaped nose. The cuteness of the mark is countered by the bold red and blue color scheme. The bold colors are coupled with a bold sans serif typeface that holds its own with the heavy line weight of the mark. I have implemented the brand in several applications, including banners, packing tape, online ads, and on the website.
