Good Shepherd Hospice – Monthly Campaigns

When I joined Good Shepherd Hospice, I inherited a program in which a new pen design was created around a different theme each month. These pens would occasionally be accompanied with a poster designed to provide more information on the monthly theme. People in our health care communities really love these pens and look forward to each month’s design. This program has given me a platform to be more experimental in my designs, freeing me from sticking to the white daisy and blue and yellow color scheme. It has been a nice outlet for my creativity personally. Much more importantly, these monthly campaigns serve as important sales tools for our Hospice Consultants communicating with physicians and hospitalists about the ways we can serve their patients with compassion and dignity as they near the end of their lives.

I continued designing the monthly pens and posters, but I had always envisioned expanding the program across social media and through email marketing campaigns, including videos that we would produce in house. With the expansion of the Graphic Design department, I was finally able to set this vision into reality. Each month, my graphic designer and I take turns developing a monthly campaign around a new theme such as Breast Cancer Awareness or National Heart Month. Centered around the video and pen, each monthly campaign also features social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, blog posts, an email campaign, and a poster.
